September 2, 2021
Dear Saint Paul School Families and Friends,

I hope you enjoyed the summer break and had some family time.  I would like to personally welcome everyone to the 2021-2022 school year. This week we opened our doors to 51 new students and 18 new families for a total of 219 students!

I am looking forward to all the good this school year has coming our way.  Although we remain in masks, we will be allowing visitors during the month of September for lunch duty, recess duty, annual Scholastic Book Fair.  Visitors are to be masked at all times.  PTO will put forth more information on these offerings in their upcoming weekly newsletters.  We will continue to reevaluate our visitor policy and hopefully expand the options for October.

Next week we will be practicing our fire drill and shelter in place procedures.  The safety of our students is very important to us.  The following week we will repeat them, but unannounced.

The teachers and I will be planning Back to School Nights next week.  There may be some changes to date, time, and format in order to provide a safe socially distanced experience.

If you have a change in dismissal, please complete the “yellow pad” note and send in with your student(s).  Faculty will not be checking email during the school day and may not see your request until it is too late.  During the first two days of school there were a number of changes to manage. Only call the school if there is a legitimate family emergency that requires a change.

Saint Paul School strives to keep our school communications to you electronic.  Please take the time to read emails from the Main Office and Classroom Teachers.  Much of what we send home is time sensitive. For example, lunch order deadline allows Mrs. Knobloch to purchase in advance.  We are seeing a shortage of supplies and will not be able to guarantee lunch after the closing date.  We are trying to limit the number of communications and not flood your email.  Most of all, you won’t want to miss the great happenings at our school this year!

A daily prayer that I shared with my faculty at our Back to School meeting  …

MY DAILY PRAYER

Dear God, as I begin this day
Let me turn my thoughts to You,
And ask Your help in guiding me
In everything I say and do.

Give me the patience that I need
To keep my peace of mind,
And with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God,
Some happiness to find.

Let me live but for today,
Not worrying what’s ahead,
For I have trust that You will see
I get my “Daily Bread”.

Give me the courage to face life’s trials
And not from troubles run,
Let me keep this thought in mind,
“Thy will”, not “Mine”, be done.

And if some with I do not get
Though I have prayed to Thee,
Help me to believe and understand
You know what’s best for me.

I’ve failed you many times, I know,
But when tonight I rest,
I hope that I can kneel and say,
“Dear God, I’ve tried my best”.

Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift … your children!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,
Principal
Learning is an Adventure of a Lifetime!
