Announcements
  • Harvest of Opportunities! Join us Sunday in the church foyer for a volunteer fair to see what amazing opportunities are available at St. Peter's to get involved in our community! We have bumped up the time to between the services, and will leave out clip boards to sign up to volunteer with us.
  • Fall Schedule: We have begun new regular office hours and worship times. The church office is open from 1:30-5 p.m. Monday through Friday all through the school year! Worship services are back to their usual times of 8 and 10:30 a.m.
  • RUMMAGE SALE AROUND THE CORNER!
We are moving rummage from the Mihm's farmhouse to the Youth Room this coming Saturday starting at 9am.  We need volunteers to both do the moving and others to be at the receiving end at church to help with unloading.  This should take less than 2 hours to complete, no experience necessary.  If you can help, please email Donna Kaufman at  dmk19813@gmail.com .

The following Saturday, Sept. 14 starting at 9am, we will be setting up the Parish Hall, tables, shelving, racks, and other things needed for starting the rummage work.  Please sign up in the church foyer or email Donna to volunteer.

Sale dates are Thursday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 8pm
    Friday, Sept. 27 from 9am to 8pm
Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9am to noon, cleanup to follow.
  • If you missed getting a pocket cross last week, you can pick one or more up from the small white containers in the narthex and on the windowsill near the main entrance.  These are a gift from Rev'd Anne+ for the students and members.  Students are encouraged to put one in their bookbag or pencil box.  There is also a card with the pocket cross poem shared with the students last week.  Please help yourself and take one for a friend.

  • As summer is starting to wind down, we ask that you please keep your pledge up-to-date through the remaining months of the year or, if you are behind in your pledge, please try to catch up.  Even though our schedules may vary during the summer and we may be out of the area more often, we still have a payroll to meet and we must keep the building cooled and the utilities paid. If you are away for an extended period of time, you may want to consider mailing your pledge in to St. Peter's.  Faithfully, Sandy Miller, Senior Warden
  • Volunteer opportunity for the school year! St. Peter's runs Just Lunch - a program that serves a free lunch to PHS students 3 days a week. We offer food and a warm welcome, there is no religious expectation of the students or volunteers. We need folks to help us prepare and serve simple meals and shop over the weekends (you will be reimbursed). We are looking for regular volunteers as well as folks to contact to fill in if the regulars can't make it on a given day. If you have some time to give, this is a rewarding way to strengthen our community! Please sign up if you are interested and let us know if you have any questions.
  • WUMCO is looking for donations as the school year gets back into swing! The totes under the flyer table in the foyer are for non perishable food and sanitary product donations for WUMCO!
  • Weekly choir rehearsals are now underway on Sundays in the choir room following the 10:30 service. We welcome all voices age High School and up to join. The choir sings for the 10:30 service and occasionally for the 8:00 service. Choir is a great way to make new friends, to enjoy fellowship, and to further your music education. We have several fun events planned for the fall including choir and orchestra music for Rev. Emily's installation as Rector and a Christmas Party at Daniel and Elizabeth's home in Baltimore. If you have any questions, please speak to Daniel Weatherholt, Director of Music or to a member of the choir. Daniel can also be reached at dweatherholt@stpeterspoolesville.org.
  • Do you play a musical instrument? Daniel would love to hear from you! We are looking for ways incorporate special music into worship on Sundays that the choir does not sing an anthem. Youth and adults are welcome to participate! To express interest, please speak to Daniel Weatherholt, Director of Music, or send him an e-mail at dweatherholt@stpeterspoolesville.org.
