Resuming PUBLIC MASS

We have missed everyone. The desire to worship together in community and receive the Eucharist has worn on all of us. But, we are working to get "back on track"!

At this time, Saint Pius X is taking the essential steps to address every detail necessary to resume public Mass and confessions in a safe and protected environment.

Public weekend Masses and regular confession times are scheduled to begin on May 23, with specific directives from the Diocese. Bishop Rhoades has extended the dispensation from the Sunday obligation until August 15, 2020. All dates are subject to change.

Saint Pius X will continue livestream options. Details and guidelines specific to public liturgies at SPX will be posted next week.

Details and guidelines will be posted next week.

Saint Pius X Catholic Parish, dedicated to renewing all things in Christ, is committed to evangelization through prayer, service, sacrificial giving, faith formation, and community.
GETTING TO KNOW
Sam Martinez and Vince Faurote
You've heard about the "seminary home-school" that Fr. Bill references at the Rectory. You've prayed with them and laughed at their enjoyable videos. They have worked so hard to help Saint Pius X stay connected as a community. So, who are these people that are living at the Rectory?

Today, we meet seminarians Sam Martinez (lower arrow) and Vince Faurote (upper arrow).

Did you know that Sam was planning on proposing and a tree fell on his car causing him to re-think his life plan? And, he went to Purdue!

Vince heard his call at a young age, but pursued college first. He even worked as a busboy at a fish restaurant!

Enjoy the video below, created by "Sam and Vince", and watch new editions in this series in upcoming Wednesday newsletters.

MOTHER OF DIVINE LOVE PRAYER

The following prayer will replace the parish stewardship prayer at Mass until further notice.

Mother of Divine Love, we entrust to you our nation and world, our families and loved ones, that we may be spared the worst of this illness.

In this time of trial and testing, hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful.

For those already afflicted, obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.

For those working to help the sick and bring an end to this crisis, obtain the strength to continue their work.

Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, conform us to the will of the Father, remind us always of the love of your Son, Jesus, and bring his peace to our land and to our hearts.

Amen.

Saint Rocco, protector against the plague and all contagious diseases, pray for us!

Thank you for supporting us by mailing in your gifts, by making online contributions, or by setting up recurring electronic gifts! We are able to embrace our mission and serve the spiritual and social needs of our community thanks to your ongoing financial support.
