MEET THE
Saint Pius X Staff
We received many positive comments about the series "The Rectory", where we explored the formation process for the seminarians, learned more about each of them, and had some fun in the process! The series was so popular, we decided to create the "sequel", and learn more about parish staff members.

This week, we introduce you to Sally Flask, Assistant Director of Liturgy, and Beth Habas, Assistant Director of Music. Watch the video to learn more about the dynamic duo of the Liturgy and Music Office!
Remember to visit the parish website to access links to all of the outreach efforts Saint Pius X has offered during the coronavirus pandemic:

THE SAINT PIUS X
VIRTUAL CHOIR!

In honor of the recent Solemnity of Saint Pius X weekend, Jeremy Hoy organized choir members to individually record "The Joys of Paradise". AV Specialist, Jimmy Flask, then took each recording and created a "virtual" Saint Pius X choir!

Enjoy this amazing rendition of one of the most beautiful songs we hear at Mass.

Saint of the Month: Saint Pius X
Pope Saint Pius X, born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto (1835-1914), was pope from 1903-1914. He is known for promoting traditional devotional practices and orthodox theology, opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine. His most important reforms were to order the codification of Canon Law and lowering the age for reception of First Holy Communion. Pope Pius X was a pastoral pope, encouraging personal holiness, piety and a daily lifestyle reflecting deep Christian values. He was devoted to the Blessed Mother and expressed his desire through Mary to renew all things in Christ.

He was canonized St. Pius X on May 29, 1954.

Pray Every Day:
Br. Lawrence Prayer

O God, since you are with me,
and it is your will that I should now apply myself
to the work before me this day,
I ask you to assist me with your grace,
that I may continue in your presence.
And to this end, O Lord, be with me in my work,
accept the labor of my hands,
and dwell in my heart with all your fullness.

MOTHER OF DIVINE LOVE PRAYER

The following prayer will replace the parish stewardship prayer at Mass until further notice.

Mother of Divine Love, we entrust to you our nation and world, our families and loved ones, that we may be spared the worst of this illness.

In this time of trial and testing, hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful.

For those already afflicted, obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.

For those working to help the sick and bring an end to this crisis, obtain the strength to continue their work.

Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, conform us to the will of the Father, remind us always of the love of your Son, Jesus, and bring his peace to our land and to our hearts.

Amen.
Saint Rocco, protector against the plague and all contagious diseases, pray for us!
