How did they hear the call to join the seminary? What are their favorite foods, beverages? The answers to these and many more questions will be revealed with this interesting series.

NEW! SERVICE SATURDAYS
As a stewardship parish, the way of life at Saint Pius X is fulfilled by a wide variety of acts of service in our community. How can we continue to serve while in isolation? Betsy Quinn, Director of Stewardship and Engagement shares ways you can continue to serve during this unique time in our lives.

REGINA CAELI?
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ANGELUS?

Traditionally, the Catholic Church has a daily call to prayer at midday (noon). Many church bells are set to ring at this time. During most of the year, we pray the Angelus at this time, whose primary focus is the Mystery of the Incarnation. It takes its name from the first words of the prayer ("the angel" of the Lord declared  unto Mary).

During the Easter season, however, we switch to the Regina Caeli , whose primary focus is the Mystery of the Resurrection.  This prayer reminds us that we have much to be thankful for, even in the midst of our daily trials. When our Lord conquered death in His resurrection, He opened the gates of Heaven for us to be able to share Eternal Life with Him there, along with his Mother, the saints, and our loved ones!
MOTHER OF DIVINE LOVE PRAYER

The following prayer will replace the parish stewardship prayer at Mass until further notice.

Mother of Divine Love, we entrust to you our nation and world, our families and loved ones, that we may be spared the worst of this illness.

In this time of trial and testing, hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful.

For those already afflicted, obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.

For those working to help the sick and bring an end to this crisis, obtain the strength to continue their work.

Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, conform us to the will of the Father, remind us always of the love of your Son, Jesus, and bring his peace to our land and to our hearts.

Amen.

Saint Rocco, protector against the plague and all contagious diseases, pray for us!
