Thanksgiving Mass at Saint Rita

91 years ago, Saint Rita celebrated its inaugural Mass on Thanksgiving Day. Due to COVID, it may look and feel a bit different this year, but we are delighted to once again join together in prayer and Thanksgiving for our annual Thanksgiving Day Mass on November 26, 2020 at 9:00am. This Mass will also be live-streamed on our website and on Facebook.
Mass for Families and Children

We are looking forward to celebrating a Mass for families with young children (and celebrating the Feast of Saint Nicholas!) on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 5:00pm. We hope you will join us in the Church. Saint Nicholas will stop by to surprise the children, and a craft kit and treat will be made available “to-go” for all in attendance.
Survey for Christmas Liturgy

As our pastoral staff prepares for Christmas worship, we need your help to plan for our Christmas liturgies and ensure we are able to accommodate all of the faithful who will worship with us on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Please take a moment to respond to our 4-question survey that will help guide these efforts (see below) by November 30, 2020. Due to COVID-19, Saint Rita Parish must adhere to strict social distancing requirements to keep everyone safe and to limit the spread of this virus.
#weGIVECATHOLIC, December 1, 2020
On Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Saint Rita will set out to raise $100,000 during its fourth annual #weGIVECATHOLIC initiative.

Mazanec Hall has served our parish community for the past 40 years. It has hosted thousands of events and been a place of fellowship for every ministry in our parish. We invite you to join us in support on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020 and help us to raise the funds to renovate this space. We are so grateful for the generosity of our parishioners! Last weekend, we collected over $1,600 to help us purchase supplies, decorations, handouts, and presents for the Exceptional Needs Polar Express! Thank you for helping us to spread Christmas cheer to our families with special needs! Saint Rita is truly a community of people helping people. If you or some you know would like to participate in this annual event, please visit our website for more details.

Deck the Halls for
Family Promise

Earlier this week, our Family Promise Ministry dropped off an incredible donation of pre-lit Christmas trees, ornaments, wreaths, and holiday welcome mats for all of the families in the Family Promise homeless shelter! Thank you to everyone who contributed. We are so fortunate to serve God's people and spread the holiday cheer!
Annual Christmas Care and Share with Family Promise

Each year, Family Promise sets up a Holiday Store at the center and invites over 200 families to shop unwrapped gift items (free of charge) for their children from new donated toys, clothing etc. Presents are wrapped, tagged and bagged for transport home to be hidden until Christmas morning. To make a donation, please visit our website to learn more.

We are collecting donations December 5 and 6, 2020 after Masses and Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm
