How long have you taught at All Saints’? 7 years

Why do you work at All Saints’?

It is an awesome privilege to work in a Christian school. The opportunity to worship together in chapel, to pray together in class, and to serve in a community where parents, teachers, and students are engaged is so special. I am passionate about sharing God’s Word with young people and it is so exciting to see how students of all ages come alive with curiosity about who God is and what His word says. I want them to see the unchanging truth of God’s Story, realize their value in Him, and realize how their very lives can be transformed by an authentic relationship with Him.

How do you think ASEDS impacts the Florence community?

All Saints’ students not only gain academic knowledge, leadership skills, and opportunities to embark on challenging endeavors, they are also given the all important knowledge that all good things come from God. This allows them to grow not into just good leaders but good faith based leaders. Their leadership then goes into the communities in which they live; on their sports teams, at church, at home, or at the park where they can share God’s truths by leading through word and action.

What is something about you that not many people know?

My husband and I own a kettle corn business.

What is something that you’ve recently read that spoke to you?

I am currently studying the book of John with my high school students and I am always so convicted by the power of scripture. I can read the same portion of scripture in every different season of life and each time I hear it and learn from it in a new way. I find God’s Word to be life giving, challenging, joy filling, encouraging, and new at the same time.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 is a great reminder, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
