COVID-19 Dashboard
Dear All Saints’ Families,

In our continuing effort to share pertinent and timely health information with you, we are publishing a weekly ASEDS COVID-19 Dashboard. This report will include the current and cumulative number of students and employees who have tested positive and the number who are or have been quarantined. Our COVID-19 policies and procedures are guided by the SCDHEC and our Task Force committee.

Cleaning and sanitation professionals continue to work daily and weekly throughout our campus, with special focus on high-touch surface areas such as doors, door handles, faucets, handrails, etc. Our disinfection team uses an electrostatic treatment each week throughout our school buildings and playgrounds. In the event of a positive COVID-19 case or quarantine, we have additional electrostatic treatments done immediately in affected classrooms and other areas. Our faculty, staff, and school nurse are teaching and reminding students about healthy practices such as washing their hands properly, covering sneezes and coughs, not sharing food or water bottles, and using elbow high-fives to greet one another.

As always, the health and well-being of our school community is our highest priority. We will continue to take necessary precautions and appropriate actions, and share important information in a timely manner, while also maintaining confidentiality as required by law. Contact us if you have questions or concerns at any time.

Best,

Evan Powell, Head of School: [email protected]
Ashley Stokes, Associate Head of School: [email protected]

What to Expect at ASEDS

If a student or employee is identified as a close contact to a positive COVID-19 individual:
  • ASEDS will send a health communication to affected families with required action, testing, or quarantine with effective dates.
  • If the student or employee lives in the same home as a positive COVID-19 individual, he/she must quarantine an additional 14 days after the date that the household member has been cleared from the isolation period.
  • If a student or employee is living in the same household as someone in quarantine (close contact), he/she will not necessarily need to quarantine unless the household member is determined to be positive. Ex. If two siblings attend ASEDS and one is identified as a close contact and is quarantined, the other sibling will not have to quarantine unless the quarantined sibling tests positive for COVID-19.
  • If a student or employee has been told that he/she is a close contact to a case of COVID-19, he/she must be quarantined until 14 days after the last contact with the case.

If a student or employee in direct contact with your child tests positive:
  • Once a COVID-19 case is confirmed, ASEDS will complete contact tracing with DHEC to identify close contacts. We will notify the families who are affected immediately. The classroom will be sanitized and disinfected in accordance with DHEC guidelines.
  • Students and employees in a classroom with a known case in which social distancing was reliably maintained will remain together in the same cohort to the extent that is possible. They should receive screening for fever and symptoms each morning until 14 days after last contact with the case. Anyone determined to be a close contact must be quarantined for 14 days. The ASEDS nurse will communicate with families the date for return.
  • It is recommended that close contacts of individuals who test positive for COVID-19, but who have no symptoms be tested no sooner than 7 days after first contact with the individual with COVID-19. If the close contacts are symptomatic he/she may test sooner. If a student or employee tests negative during the 14 day quarantine period, he/she is still required to complete the 14 day quarantine period.

Notify Emily Grantham, ASEDS School Nurse:
  • If your child is tested for COVID-19.
  • If your child is symptomatic and tested OR evaluated by his/her physician and testing is recommended, the child must stay home until results are released. Notify the ASEDS school nurse if the result is positive. The child and family must follow DHEC guidelines for isolation.

Health Notification Procedures
  • The COVID-19 Dashboard will be published each week in the ASEDS Health and Wellness Update.
  • A schoolwide notification will be sent to families if there is a health and safety concern that impacts the entire school.
  • A specific health notification will be sent only to families of students who are directly impacted by a contagious, communicable disease such as: hand, foot, and mouth, lice, impetigo, flu outbreak, and any other condition listed in the SCDHEC School and Childcare Exclusion List
