Greetings! Enjoy our Saints News!
HEAD OF SCHOOL MUSINGS
VCHS sets high academic standards, and we take time out in October and November to measure ourselves against national benchmarks using the PSAT and PreACT. We do this to provide our students with test practice and for our teachers to assess teaching/learning improvement opportunities. Once again this year, our overall student results were impressive – well above the national average (about 100 points on the PSAT and 3 points on the PreACT).

The following students had particularly exceptional PSAT or PreACT results and enter this year’s 99th National Percentile Club:

Tim Haynes – 9th
Jack Hughes – 9th
Lindsey Whitton – 9th
Travis Elzinga – 10th
Ava Garrison – 10th
Ryan Hutchinson – 10th
Grayson Causey – 11th
Colleen Farrell – 11th

These students scored ‘Highest Possible’ on at least one PreACT section:

Tim Haynes – 9th
Jack Hughes – 9th
John McAbee – 9th
Matthew Bradford – 10th
Ava Garrison – 10th
Ryan Hutchinson – 10th
Grayson Causey – 11th
Chloe Hornbostel – 11th

Way to go Saints!

BRAVOS!
Bravos to VCHS Choral Ensemble who donned their masks and sang their hearts out last Saturday. The audience was treated to songs celebrating life and songs celebrating Christmas. Families even participated in some caroling. What a wonderful way to ring in the season!

HEALTHY MIND & SPIRIT
The Reality of Life

Throughout life there are numerous experiences we will engage in, some of which will be uplifting and positive and some that will be challenging and negative. One guarantee of life is that there will be ups and downs, triumphs and defeats. Sometimes, things will go very well for us and, at other times, life can seem like a struggle. Through it all, there is one principle that we can live by that will help us navigate both the good times and the bad, and it is that of contentment.
