March 13, 2020 is etched in my memory. Almost two years ago, we had our last in-person day on campus for that school year. The VCHS faculty then spent Spring Break retooling for virtual learning and launched the 4th quarter with remote instruction. I was incredibly proud of our faculty for their ‘can do’ attitude and quick adaptability. During Summer 2020, we retooled again and last school year launched with DTEN and other technology investment we called ‘Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere’ teaching and learning.
Not wanting to waste an opportunity to remain on the cutting-edge of teaching and student learning, this school year we further refined our use of classroom technology to ensure students here in the valley and beyond could access synchronous classroom instruction. Today, we simply call it Saints Anywhere and most of our students have tapped into it.
With Saints Anywhere, we provide a synchronous classroom experience, whether students are on or off campus. Of course, our preference is in-person, but we understand that agility for us and flexibility for our students and their families is the new normal for today’s education. With Saints Anywhere, students see, hear and fully interact with their teachers and fellow students in a live classroom, even when they are learning from home or anywhere.
