Greetings! Enjoy our Saints News!
HEAD OF SCHOOL MUSING
Have fun, finish strong! Wacky Tacky has been a VCHS tradition at least since the 1999-2000 school year (evidence from photos in that year’s yearbook). The tradition has evolved from a Wacky Tacky Day to an entire Wacky Tacky Spirit Week – a time to blow off some steam before May’s final academic push.

No doubt it is a week of tackiness with dress up (or down) days – Pajamas, Anything But a Backpack, Wacky Tacky, and Ski Bum. A new tradition was started last school year – Wacky Tasky Wars, a 15-Tasky Challenge with Connect groups vying for a Qdoba lunch as they worked together to accurately and quickly complete the fifteen tasks. Hats off to Mr. Mysnyk’s Sophomore boys. On Thursday, classes competed against each other in the annual Saints Kickball Tournament. And Friday morning, we’ll see the Senior Class’ judicious creativity with their annual Senior Prank. Prom on Saturday follows.
Big thanks go to STUCO led by Ms. Larson! They created a fun and spirit-filled week.

I generally try to avoid school day countdowns, but…AP Exams begin next week and Seniors have eight remaining school days while 9th-11th Graders have fourteen as they prepare for their final exams. Remember, no classes on Fridays in May. We have had a lot of fun this week and now it’s time to finish strong and celebrate alongside our Seniors as they prepare for graduation.

Go Saints!

SERVICE MATTERS
Ollie Grems, Hunter Gilbert and their teammates from the Battle Mountain lacrosse team have partnered with Hope sports, a non profit organization to serve a family in need.

  • Where: Tijuana Mexico.
  • What: Building them a home
  • When: Two Days in the summer of 2022

Hope Sports builds on the camaraderie and relationships that school sports cultivate and offers athletes a way of building team spirit while impacting others around the word.

One main struggle in this part of Mexico is finding safe and secure housing. Athletes will work alongside volunteers and the deserving family to build them a safe, permanent home. Our trip will help leverage one family out of poverty and help bring hope to their situation.

In order to fund this trip, we will be raising money. If you would consider contributing to this cause, please donate online HERE, Every gift makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.

Together, we can change the life of one family, forever.
