Senior Salute will be held tonight, kicking off the beginning of the final VCHS chapter for our seniors. After dinner, each senior will receive a gift from a faculty or staff member, a memorable 1-minute salute.
In the coming weeks, we will share about the post high school plans for each member of the Class of 2026. Most will attend a 4-year college or university, but some are pursuing more direct career pathways or taking a gap year. We’re proud of each senior.
Director of College and Career Counseling, Anne Verratti has done outstanding work supporting our seniors in finding the ‘right fit’ while expanding their vision to go beyond what they thought might be possible. We now have a complete list of the VCHS Class of 2026 college and university acceptances. As May 1st is National College Decision Day, we’ll soon be able to announce our seniors’ plans for next school year.
A few things stand out with this year’s college and university acceptance list. Our seniors are competitive on the national stage. Many are pursuing STEM and engineering majors and will attend institutions to help them achieve those goals. More than usual, some of our seniors are choosing creative pathways with art and design schools. The array of college and university acceptances is vast showcasing how VCHS prepared each senior for his or her unique interests and ambitions.
For the Class of 2026, college and university acceptances represent:
35 States
45 R1 Research Universities
20 Public Flagship Universities
16 Liberal Arts Colleges and Universities
12 Top 20 Universities
8 Art and Design Schools
4 Ivy League Universities
Many Catholic and Christian Colleges and Universities
In a little over six weeks, we look forward to honoring and celebrating with the Class of 2026 at the 27th VCHS Commencement Service. Mark your calendars to attend on May 23rd at 10:00 at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek.
