We just wrapped up two days of intensive faculty in-service days. We’re ready and excited for our Saints to join us on Monday (10th-12th grades) and Tuesday (9th grade).
We are the VCHS family with COMMUNITY as a core value. I think of Paul’s letter to the Church at Philippi in which he wrote – In humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. One way in which we are practically following that is by asking a parent from each family and every student, faculty, and staff member to sign the COVID-19 Acknowledgment, Health Pledge, and Waiver. The Board of Directors and I want to ensure that we all acknowledge our reopening plan – our very best efforts to provide a safe and healthy environment but not without risk – as well as a commitment by every VCHS member to uphold the VCHS Health Pledge. We will remain open (in-person and on-campus) to the extent each and every ‘VCHS family member’ follows this Health Pledge.
All faculty and staff have already signed this document. Parents and students, please carefully read the document and provide your signatures and printed names (one form for each student). You can do this either through:
1. RenWeb – please review instructions below
Each student’s ticket to enter school on his/her first day is either the signed and submitted RenWeb form or by bringing a signed, printed copy to school & handing it to either Kristy Maslan or a student’s Connect advisor.
Next, take a moment to watch this year’s 24 minute Back to School Orientation Video featuring Mindy Larson (Principal), Lori Hixon (Director of College Counseling), Tim Pierson (Athletic Director), Scott Leonard (Theology Teacher, Alpha Facilitator), Shannon O’Brien/Nancy Tellor (Parent Association), and me. The performance is close to Netflix Original level so you simply won’t want to miss it. Click here to watch!
Finally, we’re busting at the enrollment seams with waiting pools at every grade level. We’re excited to welcome 33 students to the Class of 2024 and somewhere between 6-12 new transfer students (coming to us locally, nationally, and internationally). We can’t wait to see our students on Monday and Tuesday and welcome freshmen parents Tuesday morning in the Commons (West Building) from 8:00-9:00. Welcome back everyone!!
Best Regards,
Steve O'Neil
