CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR
SENIOR NIGHT ATHLETES ~ WINTER SEASON !
This Saturday VCHS will be taking 8 students to The CHSAA Solo and Ensemble contest.  The requirements for this vocal contest is to prepare an Art Song and perform in front of judges. Each musical piece performed by students will be critiqued and then given a score from I to IV. The judges give written and verbal notes to help in continued growth of each students in four areas of vocal production. Our students have prepared Italian Aria solos from the 24 Italian Songs Aria compilation. As an ensemble, they will be singing an American Art Song, called “Homeward Bound”. 
I am extremely proud of the focus and dedication given to prepare for contest. To my knowledge it is the first time students from VCHS have entered a CHSAA vocal contest.
Maddy Collom, AnaMaria Montes, Taylor Hollander, Talia Tyler, Annie Petrik, Lauren Hilty, Langley Cerovich and Roy Valenzuela will all represent VCHS on Saturday.

The Pink Vail Bowl-a-thon last Sunday was filled with FUN!
We had a great turn out!

ROBOTICS COMPETITION UPDATE
The Robotics team had a wonderful experience last week at their first competition. They learned a lot and are looking forward to next year's events.   • Riding the bus is the only way to the dance!
  • Bus DEPARTS from VCHS at 7:00 pm (West Academic Building)
  • The bus will not wait if you are late.
  • Please bring your Sadies Ticket
  • Tickets WILL NOT BE SOLD at the door or at the bus.
  • Buses will arrive back to VCHS at 11:30 p.m.
  • If student is departing the dance early, parental pick-up only will be allowed.
  • Online permission form must be on file.
