"Head Shot"-- moments captured by

Love the Lord with all your HEART! One of our core values at Faith Heritage is raising young people to love the Lord with their whole heart. Evidence of this core value can be seen through students who demonstrate a life rooted in Christ, a life that demonstrates a heart of grace and character of Christ, and a heart of worship and praise. Two members of the Faith Heritage family, Mr. Fuller and Steven Santucci, had their hearts literally tested like never before this year. Mr. Fuller, AD and teacher, had some work done on his ticker just before the beginning of the school year after having a heart attack while lining our soccer field. Steven, a high school senior, had 10 hours of open heart surgery in December. I took this special pic at Mr. Fuller's request because of the special bond that has developed between teacher and student after having similar life-changing experiences. What makes Faith Heritage the most amazing school in the world is having teachers that love the Lord and purpose to build relationships with students so that they can disciple them in their walk with Christ. We are thankful for God's faithfulness in bringing healing to Mr. Fuller and to Steven. We are also thankful and blessed to have a K-12 faculty who have given their lives to helping every student love the Lord with all their HEART, soul, strength and mind.

Celebrating Culture & Food--
En español!
|
While studying different Spanish speaking cultures, High School students had a chance to enjoy some new flavors. Spanish IV & V students were able to prepare and enjoy Pina Coladas, while studying the culture of Los Puertorriqueños (Puerto Ricans), USA. The objective of the Pina Colada was to gain a little bit of appreciation about the food and drinks Puerto Ricans use to celebrate the Annual Parade in New York City. Spanish Ib and II were studying Mexico, and learning about the typical foods they have in their country. Students made and enjoyed Guacamole! With this activity students were able to recognize cooking verbs like cortar (to cut), hacer (to make), poner (to put) exprimir (to squeeze) and batir (to blend). It was a great combination of learning & delicious fun!

Shakespeare - Center Stage
Congratulations Ally Vargo (9th grade)! After winning the Faith Heritage School Shakespeare Competition in January, Ally went on to compete at Syracuse Stage on March 11. Ally performed the same monologue with which she won our school competition, along with a Shakespeare sonnet. While one of the youngest actors in the competition, she had a strong performance and gained valuable experience.

Kindergarten Pirates!
Mrs. Allen's class was learning about the letter combination "a-r". What better way to remember the "ar" sound than by being pirates? They conducted a pirate search throughout the school, finding ch
art,
art, c
art, and several other words that use a-r. Great searching, pirates!
Arrrr!

Support Christian Education at Faith Heritage School
|
When you contribute to Faith Heritage School, you are investing in the future generation, helping to ensure that a solid Christian school will continue to be an option for families in Central New York.
At Faith Heritage, parents can know that Christ will never be pushed aside or minimized, and that the Bible will be embraced and opened daily for instruction and prayer.
Along with this, parents can be assured of an excellent college preparatory program, where SAT scores regularly rank at the top of schools in our region and virtually 100% of our students graduate and continue on to pursue a college degree.
As events in our world, and even our nation, become increasingly unsettled, what an opportunity we have to guide our students to hold to the firm foundation of Christ.
This is a privilege which we do not take for granted. We invite you to join the Annual Fund campaign, and show your support for Christian education. You can be a part of the Lord's provision for the next generation of Faith Heritage Saints. To God be the Glory!
You may contribute online through our website: www.faithheritageschool.org/support-fhs/ or you may send a check to the school, 3740 Midland Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205.
We are grateful for your support of our students!
