All-School Mass

We will have All-School Mass on Friday, October 30 at 8:30 a.m.

Optional daily Mass tomorrow, Wednesday, October 28. All are welcome! Mass starts at 7:10 and ends at 7:40. It’s in the All Saints Chapel every Wednesday before school. What a beautiful way to start the day by worshiping the Lord!

Works of Mercy - Honoring Veterans

Please join us at Memorial Oaks Cemetery (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079) on Saturday, November 7th, from 8:30–10:00 a.m. We will gather and go out together to place flags on the graves of Veterans in preparation for Veterans Day. Please bring a screwdriver to help make holes in the ground for the flags.

We will also take time to pray for all the souls who have passed away, and an opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence during this special time of prayer. To obtain this indulgence, you must be in a state of grace, go to confession, receive communion, and pray for the intentions of the Pope.

Please fill out the Sign-Up Genius!

LSU WEEK - NEXT WEEK

The LSU Tigers will be taking over StJPII during the week of November 2 as part of our Ultimate Fan Duel! Thanks to the Vreedenburgh-Hebert family, who won naming rights at last year’s gala, we’ll be showing our Tiger spirit throughout the week. Keep an eye out for the LSU flag by the front office, and listen for some LSU music over the PA each morning.

On Wednesday, November 4, students may wear their LSU shirts (or purple shirts or a StJPII spirit shirt) with their regular uniform bottoms.

Volleyball - Varsity girls wrapped up their season in the playoffs this week, falling just short in the third set. They played great, and we are very proud of their effort, determination, and perseverance throughout the season. What a great season it has been for our JV girls as well! They were almost undefeated this season, and we are so proud of this team. The Sixth Grade “C” Team has shown so much growth from the very first practice to the last game. A big “shout-out” goes out to Coach Aida and Coach Jennifer for their season-long dedication to working with our girls. Volleyball team party this Friday, October 30, from 3:30–4:30 p.m. after school in the BAC.

Quote from Coach Aida: “Thank you for your support throughout the season! It has been a pleasure watching the girls grow as players and teammates, and we look forward to seeing them continue to develop their skills and love for the game”.

Basketball Tryouts end today. All teams will be posted tonight at approximately 7:30 p.m. We thank all the students for coming out and giving great effort.
