Dear Saint families,
As we step into the New Year and the second half of our school year, we are filled with gratitude for the blessings of our StJPII community. We hope you had a joyful Christmas season and a restful break. Together, let us look forward to 2025 with renewed faith, hope, and excitement for what lies ahead!
This month, we will focus on the virtue of Fortitude – being brave and strong in the face of trials. What a fitting virtue as we set new resolutions and prepare to persevere through our goals and beginnings, no matter how challenging they may seem.
We are excited that it is that time of year for re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. I thank you in advance for choosing St. John Paul II Catholic School where we are committed to excellence for our students and families providing consistency and fidelity to our mission!
Finally, we are also thrilled to announce our upcoming celebration of Catholic Schools Week! This year’s theme is “United in Faith and Community”. Check out the details below for a week filled with fun events for our students and families including a Bingo night and our 2nd Annual StJPII Dads vs. Seminarians Basketball game! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Thank you for being part of the StJPII community. Together, let us continue to “Be Greater” and shine the light of Christ in all we do. Wishing you and your family a joyful and blessed New Year!

Over the Christmas break, we officially broke ground on the new wrought iron fence around StJPII's athletic field. This exciting upgrade is made possible by the generous contributions of those who have supported the For Every Saint Capital Campaign. Thanks to your commitment, we will soon enjoy a taller, more secure, and beautiful fence!
As we continue to raise funds and work toward our goal, more campus improvements are on the horizon. We are eager to install new lights on the field and begin renovations on the library, but we need additional support to get those projects and others underway.
To learn more about the For Every Saint Capital Campaign, please mark your calendars for the next Campaign Close-Up Cocktail Party on the evening of January 22. Stay tuned for more details!

Thank you for your lovely notes, prayers, and gifts for the holidays. I am always so touched by the love in our STJPII community. Blessings to each of you!
Here is a closer look at Goal Setting. Our SSK program includes learning more about goals, organization, and more. Take a look at the slide show to aid students in understanding the goal-setting and accomplishing process. This is located on my Google site by way of the below link.
As we start the new year, Kindergarten will be checking out books! Hurray! Please return these each week to continue to check out books. The new grading period will bring the return of fines. One day of grace is given to return overdue books. After this grace period, we charge 10 cents per day per book. I hope to work together with families to foster improving return on time skills by students. We check out weekly. Put a note on the refrigerator with a picture of books to remind your child that their books are due the correct day of the week.
Happy Reading, Organizing, and Goal Setting to everyone! Ms. Lamb - Your Librarian
