Dear Saints families,

I hope you had a joyful and restful Labor Day weekend! It was wonderful to see so many of you on campus for Parent Nights, especially as you engaged with our keynote speakers. I deeply appreciate your support, and I am excited about the “Greater” year ahead!

Now that it's officially September, our campus is buzzing with energy. We're thrilled to get our after-school activities and sports programs fully underway, so please stay updated by reading Saints Weekly. This month, our virtue is CHARITY—loving God with all your heart, mind, and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself. Please remind your students how they can “Be Greater” by loving God and others!

This Friday is our First Friday Mass, and I hope you can join us. After Mass, we will honor our STEM-certified teachers and celebrate StJPII’s distinction of earning STEM certification through the National Institute for STEM Education. Our Saints faculty and students continue to impress me with their accomplishments, and I look forward to celebrating even more successes as the year progresses.

Faith Focus

All School Mass

Please join us for our First Friday Mass this week on September 6. According to the First Friday Devotion given to us by Saint Margaret Mary, we will receive special graces from Jesus by attending Mass on 9 consecutive First Fridays. In keeping with this tradition, we all have an opportunity to receive these special graces through our All-School Masses.

Save these dates for the nine First Fridays during the school year: 9/6, 10/4, 11/1, 12/6, 1/3 (during Christmas Break, visit your home parish), 2/7, 3/7 (daily Mass before school in the Chapel due to Ash Wednesday), 4/4, 5/2

Wednesday Mass

Optional daily Mass is tomorrow, Wednesday, September4. All are welcome! Mass starts at 7:10 and ends at 7:40. It’s in the All Saints Chapel every Wednesday before school. What a beautiful way to start the day by worshiping the Lord!

Annual Fund Kick Off

The 2024-2025 Annual Fund Drive will kick off next week. Please be on the lookout for your letter in the mail at home. The Annual Fund is our cornerstone fundraising campaign and your donation is so vitally important to help us sustain our mission. Thank you in advance for praying about how you may support us this year. Together we can be greater and focus on our gracious Lord. We are confident we can reach our goal again by working in partnership with you!

Your students may wear their favorite sports team t-shirt or jersey with uniform bottoms next week on Wednesday, September 11 to "kick off" the Annual Fund Drive!

8th Grade Parents Washington DC Meeting

There will be a mandatory 8th grade parent meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 PM at StJPII in St. Jude Hall to discuss the upcoming Washington, DC trip.

Accessing Class Link Usernames/Passwords

ClassLink is a single sign-on platform that allows our students access to school applications and online educational resources such as Google for Education apps, online textbooks, library resources and more. ClassLink can be accessed from a computer or a mobile device.

PK - Kindergarten:

Our younger students will be receiving a ClassLink Quickcard to access ClassLink. If you need a replacement, please reach out to your child's teacher.

1st - 5th Grade:

1st - 5th graders are creating their own password if they did not have one or forgot their password during their computer lab time. In addition, they will continue practicing logging into ClassLink using the "Sign in with Google" option.

Students will be using their passwords in school often, so please do not change your child's password. If a student needs assistance retrieving their password they should see Mrs. Abad in the computer lab.

6th - 8th Grade:

Students in 6th-8th grade that need assistance with their password should see Mr. Alda

ECI Catering

Many families have balances that need to be paid. Please talk to your student(s) about eating in the cafeteria. If they have a negative balance, they should not be eating in the cafeteria. Payments can be brought to school or parents may pay online.

Class Pictures & Individual Retake Picture Day is Coming

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 will be Class Picture day and Individual Retake Picture Day. All students will take a picture with their homeroom class for the yearbook and they MUST wear their FULL DRESS UNIFORM.

Your child’s photo from August 27 was emailed to your primary email address from Freeman Photography.

If your child was absent or not in full dress uniform on picture day, they are on the list to have their individual yearbook picture taken on Wednesday, September 25. If you would like for your child to have their individual picture retaken, please click the button below to access the picture retake form.

The Mother & Son Event will be back at the ballpark! Come out to Constellation Field in Sugarland for an afternoon with your mom on September 15. Exciting Announcement from StJPII PTO: Monthly Meet-Ups!

Join us on the third Thursday of most months for Monthly Meet-Ups at local venues, offering breakfast/coffee or lunch and engaging conversations. Whether you choose to grab a bite or simply drop by to socialize and forge new friendships, all are welcome. Feel free to bring along your little ones who are not yet in school as we will be gathering at kid-friendly locations. This initiative aims to foster connections among StJPII parents and caregivers, providing a wonderful opportunity to meet and mingle and to hear about PTO updates. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 19, 9-10 a.m. at Pecan Creek Grille.

Let us start off the new school year showing our appreciation to the amazing teachers and staff at StJPII by dropping off a delicious menu item. Our theme for the First Friday Lunch of the year will be "Salad Bar."

Celebrate your child's special day in style! Orders for September birthdays and all school year birthdays are now being accepted. Choose from several fun packages that include a special birthday t-shirt, birthday recognition on the marquee, ice cream, and more! Orders are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Gifts will be delivered to your child's homeroom teacher.

3rd, 4th, 5th Graders: It’s Time to Sign Up for Book Club!

Does your child love to read? Sign them up for Book Club today! Book Club will meet 4x a year during lunch on a Friday. Books will be chosen by each group with guidance from StJPII and parent volunteers.

Interested in guiding the discussion for your child’s group? Sign up to become a Volunteer Discussion Leader today! Each group in Book Club needs at least two parent volunteers* to be formed.

*Must be volunteer approved through the school to participate.

Elementary Athletics

Elementary soccer registration has closed, and the teams are being formed! I will be organizing the teams and verifying the coaches by the end of the week. Then an email will be sent out by the Coach with all necessary information. Please be patient as we go through this process and give your coaches time to connect with each one of you.

Middle School Athletics

Volleyball has their 1st home game this Thursday! Come check out our talented Lady Saints as they go up against the Tigers from St. Vincent de Paul! Soccer, Football and CC all start next week!
