Dear St. John Paul II Families,
It is hard to believe this is the last Tuesday in April and then we head into May! This 30
th year has brought so many surprises! As a Saint family we are all looking forward to the upcoming events that allow our students to shine. Whether its our Leadership ceremony on Friday, performances from our Fine Arts department, our second graders sharing in a first communion celebration and/or our 8
th graders as they approach graduation! These last weeks of school come with anticipation and excitement and we are all working hard to complete the tasks ahead in our academics as well as our spiritual growth.
Jesus Calling states today,
“Be still and know that I am God”. I encourage us all to remember to trust in Him, even in the busy seasons of our lives, and rest in His presence knowing that He prepares us for each and every day and season.
In Him,

Elementary Athletics
It is not too early to start thinking about coaching a team next year.
StJPII cannot offer Elementary Sports without you. All of our coaches are volunteer approved parents. As a coach, you will have the entire StJPII family behind you for support along with coaching clinics and our Positive Coaching online classes.
You’ll get to spend more time with your child! Your child might only be 6-years-old now, but there will come a time when he or she will naturally start to spend more time with friends and teammates and less time hanging out with mom and dad. Coaching a team is a wonderful way to keep a strong connection.

Middle School Athletics
This past weekend, our boy’s lacrosse team participated in the Corpus Christi Lacrosse Tournament. Our Saints won all 3 of their games on Saturday heading into the Championship finals as the only team that was undefeated!
Unfortunately, due to the rain Saturday night, the 2 games that were scheduled to be played on Sunday got rained out. Our boys closed out their season with an overall record of 9-5. As the 1st Varsity Lacrosse program in the diocese, we are so very proud of our boy’s inaugural season. We congratulate them on showing such dedication and hard work, and thank each one of them on how well they represented our school!
Our Lady Saints Lacrosse team played on Saturday as well against the Storm from Pearland. Despite a lot of hard work both offensively and defensively, the girls got shut out by the club team and suffered a loss. The girls play on Tuesday at home to get back on a winning track!
