MAITREYA LOVING KINDNESS RELICS TOUR
An Exhibition of ancient and sacred relics from the Historical Buddha Shakyamuni and of other great Buddhist masters from India, Tibet & China. The relics were found among the cremation ashes of Buddhist masters and resemble beautiful pearl-like crystals. Buddhist believe relics embody the master's spiritual qualities of compassion and wisdom.

The tour was at the Thrangu monastery in Richmond BC on Aug.7-9th.

PLEASE JOIN US FOR A
MEMORIAL CELEBRATION
OF ANAGARIKA DHAMMADINNA.

For the past year plans have been underway to create a celebration in the memory of Anagarika Dhammadinna. It will be a day of memories, presentations, and a shared lunch.  A day to embrace the Dhamma in  honour of Anagarika.

When Anagarika was ordained in 1964 in Sri Lanka, she was given the name  Dhammadinna.
She preferred to be called Anagarika, a term used in Theravada Buddhism referring to
"homeless one", a person who has given up most of their worldly possessions and responsibilities to commit fully to a Buddhist practice.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13th,
10am-4pm
ROSEMARY HEIGHTS RETREAT CENTRE

"For the Good of the World"

The Buddha to Kassapa: "You are practicing for the good of the world and happiness of the multitude, out of compassion for the world, for the good, welfare and happiness of devas and humans"

Although practicing the Buddha's path can sometimes seem to be a very solitary and selfish endeavor, it isn't.  As the mind opens, loving kindness, compassion, equanimity and sympathetic joy rise, bringing brilliance with them. The world becomes a better place.  How wonderful to allow such radiance.
