Parents' Association Welcome Dinner, 5:30 p.m. at Cugino Forno, Bailey Power Plant. New & returning parents are invited to attend.

Location: Shirley Auditorium, Elberson Fine Arts Center

Time: 4:15 - 5 p.m.

Opening Chapel 2023

Opening Chapel will be on Friday, August 18 at Shirley Auditorium. This event serves as the official beginning of the academic year. Opening Chapel, a long-standing Academy tradition, is set for the end of the first week of school. There will be no athletic practices on this day allowing everyone to be part of this important occasion.

Attendance is mandatory for all students. Please note that this is a professional dress event. We invite all families to attend.

Sunday, August 13

Dewzy Summer Party at Dewey's Bakery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 262 S. Stratford Rd., Winston-Salem. Dessert lovers in Winston-Salem can try this new treat! There will be a huge party to celebrate this new treat featuring a live DJ, caricature artists, magicians, giveaways, and the chance to win FREE Dewzies for a year!

Wednesday, August 16

Wake Forest Soccer Fan Fest, 6 -8 p.m., Spry Stadium. Enjoy an evening of fun including food, inflatables, face painting, giant lawn games, autographs, and more to kick off the 2023 Wake Forest University soccer season. Admission is free.

Friday, August 18

Innovation & Cinema Presents “Mary Poppins” (1964). Movie screening at Bailey Park in Innovation Quarter, 445 Patterson Avenue, Downtown Winston-Salem. Vendors are available starting at 7 p.m. Film starts around 8:30 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket. Free admission.
