Home Moravian Service and Luncheon, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Each year Home Moravian Church hosts a delicious luncheon for boarding students. All students are welcome. Required for boarding students.

Tuesday, August 22

Virtual Senior Families Meeting, 6 - 7 p.m. Virtual Senior Families night is an information session dedicated to the expectations of our College Counseling process during senior year.

Saber Sorting 2023

Salem Academy's annual tradition of Saber Sorting will be held on Friday, August 25 starting at 4 p.m.

Hosted by the student-led Athletic Council, Saber Sorting kickstarts the year with a burst of school spirit. New students are "sorted" into their school team colors and then the whole school participates in field games. It is a great time for spirited competition and a display of school unity! There will be no athletic practices on this day allowing everyone to participate.

Students are encouraged to wear clothes that they are comfortable getting a bit messy in – it's all part of the experience! Day students may be picked up after 5:30 p.m. at the Academy Athletic Fields.

Friday, August 18

Innovation & Cinema Presents “Mary Poppins” (1964). Movie screening at Bailey Park in Innovation Quarter, 445 Patterson Avenue, Downtown Winston-Salem. Vendors are available starting at 7 p.m. Film starts around 8:30 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket. Free admission.

Art Crush: Presented by the Arts District of Winston-Salem offers local artists, musicians, and crushable art experiences at Trade Street, 7:00-10:00 pm.

Friday, August 18

12th Annual Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex, 11:00 am (start); also available through the 26th ($10; gates open at 10:00 am)

October 21-22

Swim Like A. Fish Day Clinics. Salem welcomes 6x Olympic Trial Qualifier, SEC Finalist, NCAA Qualifier, and 2x USA Junior National Champion Abbie Fish to work hands-on with all swimmers. Salem Academy day clinic is on October 22 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Cost is $100.00 per swimmer.
