Welcome back to school! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break and is ready to tackle the new school year. As we kick off Fall 2023 Orientation next week, please review the included document links in this newsletter for event & school information.

Looking ahead, this school year will be filled with new challenges, exciting opportunities, and lots of learning. Remember to stay focused, stay organized, and always ask for help when needed. I believe in each one of our students and know that they will achieve great things. Let's make it a year to remember!

Fall Orientation 2023

Inspired by Salem Academy‘s red brick pathways throughout our beautiful campus, the orientation theme for 2023 is “Follow the Red Brick Road.” To prepare for next week, please review the Student Orientation Schedule. It's essential not to overlook this step!

Fall 2023 Sports Season

Get ready for the fall sports season! If you would like to participate in the tennis or volleyball tryouts for the 2023 fall season, fill out the Fall 2023 Academy Sports Interest Form before noon on Friday, August 14th. Go Sabers!

Greetings from Salem Academy’s Parents Association! All parents and guardians are automatically members of the Parents’ Association which sponsors events for Academy families, faculty, and staff. There will be many volunteer opportunities this year which will be posted in Academy Enews.

New Student Orientation, beginning at 9 a.m. Activities include tours, campus meetings, Mercantile shop hours, & more.

Parents' Association Welcome Dinner, 5:30 p.m. at Cugino Forno, Bailey Power Plant. New & returning parents are invited to attend.

Sunday, August 13

Returning Boarding Students Arrive on campus

August 14 - 15

All School Orientation, 9 a.m., Required for all students

2023 Fall Sports Try-outs, 3:15 p.m., Main Gym & Tennis Courts

Wednesday, August 16

First Day of Academy Classes

2023 Fall Sports Tryouts, 4:15 p.m., Main Gym & Tennis Courts

Friday, August 18

Opening Chapel, 4:15 - 5 p.m., Shirley Auditorium, Elberson Fine Arts Center. The event is held at the end of the first week of school to mark the beginning of the academic year. Required for all students & no athletic practices.
