Saline County to Host Health and Wellness Event for Seniors Sept. 19

The 2023 Sunflower Fair, the annual premier health and wellness event for older Kansans, their caregivers, and those living with disabilities, will be held on Tuesday, September 19, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Salina’s Tony’s Pizza Events Center. Presented by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) and significantly backed by the Salina Regional Health Foundation, the fair offers a comprehensive experience: expert seminars, exhibitions, health screenings, music, fun, and a sit-down lunch.

  • Early Bird Registration: $25 if registered by September 11, 2023.
  • Regular Registration: $30 after September 11.

  • Special Highlight: Salina Regional Health Foundation's session on Cancer Prevention with experts from the Tammy Walker Cancer Center.

In addition to educational sessions, attendees can benefit from health screenings, including COVID-19 and flu vaccines, blood pressure checks, and hearing tests.


Bonus Event: On September 18, prior to the Sunflower Fair, join us for the inaugural "Sunflower Seniors Got Talent!" at Salina’s Stiefel Theatre from 7 pm to 9 pm. The talent show supports various senior-focused programs in the Kansas heartland. Tickets for this event are available at stiefeltheatre.org or at the Stiefel Theatre’s box office.
