Launch Conferences
We are looking forward to seeing you and your student(s) at our Launch Conferences next week on Thursday, August 31st, and Friday, September 1st. SPS sent out a Conference Scheduling link on Friday, August 18th. to families via your email in PowerSchool. You can also schedule your conference with the link below. At Launch Conferences you'll learn about Salk, meet your advisory teacher, get your schedule, a map of Salk, and find your classes. We aren't assigning each student a locker again this year, but if you'd like one, please let us know. After your conference, each family will head to the library to complete the CEP Survey. The CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) Survey is important because it determines federal funding for our programs. Students who qualify can get added benefits like waived sports and testing fees, community discounts, and many others. It'll take about 10 minutes to complete. We're looking forward to seeing you soon!

A FEW IMPORTANT ITEMS
- The school day begins promptly at 9:00am (10:00am on Mondays). The doors open at 8:50am for breakfast, and 8:55am for all others. It is important to be on time each day, so you do not miss out on announcements and important instructions. The school day ends at 3:30pm, and all students who aren't involved in a sport, club, or are under the direct supervision of a staff member, must be out of the building and on the way home by 3:40pm.
- To limit class disruptions, if you know you will be picking up your student early from school, please call the attendance line (509-354-5615) in the morning. This way, we are able to write your student a pass, and they are able to leave at the appointed time without the office having to call in and disrupt the class.
- Cell phones and earbuds are not allowed in school. Please remind your students to put these items in their backpacks before they enter school, and do not take them out again until they leave at the end of the day.
- Please do not have food delivered to your student at school. Due to food allergies and other health concerns, we cannot have food shared, and therefore it needs to be contained. If food is delivered to your student, they may eat it alone in the office conference room or pick it up after school.
Thank you for your cooperation.
