Elementary Field Day
The sun was shining and the students were smiling at Elementary Field Day this morning. A special thanks to all of the volunteers who filled water balloons and to our middle school helpers who ran the stations.

The Comedy of Errors
Congratulations to our 5th grade actors on their Shakespeare performances this week!

Librarian for the Day
Linda, our school librarian, hosted two "Librarians for the Day" this week. We were impressed with their dedication and hard work! Great job, ladies!

Lost & Found

Last Call  for Lost & Found Items
Please take a moment to look for your lost items next week before school ends. We have a large collection of jackets, lunch boxes and other items in the first floor band hallway.
The lost and found will be cleaned out and any remaining items donated once school ends.

FOSB

Friends of Salmon Bay (FOSB) is our parent teacher organization. All parents and guardians are members.

Return of Rock for FOSB
Legend tells of a time in days of yore when Salmon Bay parents gathered to play rock 'n roll in a local watering hole.  We hope to resurrect this legendary event at such a venue next spring. The plan is to invite anyone interested in making music with friends to a mix-and-match gathering in the fall, solidify lineups and practice over the winter, then play. If you have ideas or other input, please email Ian  at   [email protected]. Important note: This event is open to any Salmon Bay parent (or friend of a Salmon Bay parent) who wants to practice and play!

With Gratitude
Thank you to all the people that pitched in this year. We really appreciate all the hard work and dedication the community contributes to Salmon Bay. Every single student benefits from your efforts. Next year will be here before you know it so make a mental note to volunteer next year and keep all of the great programs and traditions going!

Thanks,
Scott and Ali

Staff Recognition

End of the Year Celebration & Appreciation

It is a tradition that we celebrate departing staff on the last day of school.

During Middle School Panther Day, we will recognize and celebrate Connie Gold and Connie Wood, who are both retiring. During Friday Sing with our elementary students, we will recognize and celebrate Nurse Darcy, who is transitioning to a new position within SPS and Emily, first grade teacher, who is moving to Tacoma with her family.
