12 meetings over 12 weeks. 3 sections to choose from: Sunday Salsa 8-9:30pm, Monday Latin Dance 9:15-10:45pm, Tuesday Salsa 9:30-11pm.

PE 1160 Latin Dance covers the fundamentals of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Son Cubano and Cha Cha Cha. PE 1162 Salsa covers Salsa in free style, couple format, and Rueda de Casino. Focus in each class is on the individual dancer in connection with a partner. Participants acquire skills in timing, body movement, lead-follow technique, space use, footwork, turns and combinations. Music is provided, video recording and dance performance opportunity available.

Dates: 9.20, 9.27, 10.4, 10.11, 10.18, 10.25

Salsa Plus covers the fundamentals of Cuban style Salsa and introduces students to the basics of Bachata, Son and Cha Cha Cha. Salsa Cubana, also known as "Casino," is danced individually, as a couple, or in a group. Rueda de Casino ("Salsa Wheel") is danced among multiple couples via call and response. In this series, Rueda is used as a methodology to expedite Salsa learning in any format. Focus is on the individual dancer in connection with a single partner. Participants acquire skills in timing, body movement, lead-follow technique, space use, footwork, turns and combinations. Retention is accomplished through repetition and having fun. Music is provided, video recording allowed and dance performance opportunity available.
Social dance practice with one-on-one assistance held at the end of each class. Music folders and video recording available.
