Ann harvests the sweetest, tastiest oysters from the waters of Stedman Cove and Big John Bay on Kupreanof Island, outside of Kake, Alaska. Ann is a college student majoring in sustainability and forestry, she is grateful to be learning and working with Tom Henderson of Pearl of Alaska — a seasoned expert in farming oysters in the waters of Southeast Alaska.
This week Ann is offering one, two, and five dozen bags of oysters. Each bag will contain mostly medium and some large oysters. Mediums are about four inches, while large oysters are six inches and larger. Harvest size this season is four to six inches per oyster.
She guarantees once you starting eating them you'll want more, so take advantage of the multiple dozen bags and save a little.
