Employee Spotlight
Dan Robinaugh
Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dan made his way to Utah for school. While studying Manufacturing Engineering at Brigham Young University, he met his future wife, Janae. After graduating in 2017, Dan kicked off his career with the Dennis Group, joining the packaging team.

Dan's crew at home includes himself, his partner of a decade, Janae, their 3-year-old son Wesley, and their two cats, Doc and Pepper. Janae works as a second-grade teacher, while Wesley's all about trains and Paw Patrol. Their home is always busy with renovation projects like replacing the deck and tiling the kitchen.

When he's not working on the house, Dan likes to unwind with his hobbies. Whether it's hitting the great outdoors, piecing together a tricky puzzle, diving into a good book, or hosting game night with friends, Dan's always up for some fun. And let's not forget his love for painting models and being the Dungeon Master for his D&D crew.
Employee Spotlight
Alex Grunerud
If you ask Alex Grunerud, he might tell you he's been with Dennis Group for 25 years, not just 8—chalk it up to growing up in the extended Dennis Group family, thanks to his Dad's longstanding career here. It's a fun way he acknowledges the deep connection and familiarity he has with the company, blending a bit of personal history with his professional journey.

Alex hails from Pocatello, Idaho, but has called Utah home since he was six. His journey in Electrical Engineering started at Seattle University and has since taken him to the Controls/Automation team at Dennis Group, where he applies a thoughtful and methodical approach to his work.

When not immersed in his engineering role, Alex is a dedicated outdoorsman. His love for the Utah landscape comes alive with winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, and in the warmer months, he’s equally passionate about trail running and hiking. Every summer is marked by time spent in Island Park and Yellowstone National Park, where he enjoys the company of his parents and his brother Jaxon, who is 20 years younger. These trips are a treasured family tradition, offering a blend of adventure and bonding across the generations.
Women at Dennis Group ERG
Women @ DG is a company wide employee resource group (ERG). The group was established in late 2022 and was foundationally rooted in employee improvement “call-to-actions” including but not limited to: constructing wellness rooms in each of DG’s 7 offices and re-constructing and defining DG’s maternity/paternity policies.

Since 2022, Women @ DG has gained momentum through its ability to foster the time and space for collaboration and support for women and allies. Although there is a virtual and global meeting that happens once per quarter, the group also supports local chapters for each DG office.

The SLC chapter meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 4-5pm and we serve you dinner! We mainly have open discussions about group curated topics. Although there is usually a presentation involved, we keep each meeting informal to encourage active participation… in a very low key and non-stressful kind of way.

If you are interested, our March meeting is on Tuesday, March 26th @ 4:00pm! For additional information as well as the meeting invite please email Fiona Hopewell @ [email protected] .

Hope to see you there!
Our very own Brett Hadley had the experience of a lifetime at a Utah Jazz Game
On January 15th Brett Hadley snapped a photo of his daughter Ivorie with a sign they had made. While the family was watching the Jazz go through warmups, he threw it up on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the social media post, Hadley explained that his daughter was hoping to catch Clarkson’s attention with the sign, but they weren’t allowed to take it into the arena because signs larger than 11 inches by 17 inches aren’t allowed inside.

Next thing you know, they are meeting Jordan Clarkson and getting the VIP experience of a lifetime. You can read more about it here.
Happy Birthday!
