Saluting Our Heroes: Support Our Troops Fall Newsletter

CANEX is once again hosting a month-long fundraising campaign in support of Support Our Troops and Soldier On. From November 15 to December 15,

CANEX will be raising funds that will go towards providing holiday hampers to families in need this winter, as well as providing equipment grants to ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and Veterans. Donations will be accepted in-store and on CANEX.ca.

Every dollar given will have double the impact for a CAF member, Veteran, or family in need, as CANEX is matching donations up to $15,000. Your matched contribution will be divided equally between Support Our Troops and Soldier On.

Holiday Hamper Program

The holiday season can pose financial difficulties for numerous individuals, including the CAF community. The Holiday Hamper Program, which launched in 2015, offers vulnerable CAF members and their families additional support during the holiday season.

Thank You ONroute!

We’re excited to announce that for the fifth consecutive year we have partnered with ONroute to invite travelers to donate at check out from November 1 to December 31 in support of currently serving armed forces members and veterans.

All 23 locations along highways 400 and 401 will be participating in asking travelers to donate at the counter with each transaction. Donations will go towards supporting military families in Ontario through the Holiday Hamper Program, Emergency Financial Assistance, and Special Needs Grant.

Support Our Troops showed our appreciation to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) by gifting them a special edition Avro Arrow print. Their effort in hosting art easels has raised over $500,000 through the Support Our Troops Art Easel Program, a Funding Innovation initiative and has made an incredible impact on the lives of many in the military community.
