MONTHLY INSPIRATION
Feature from Major Barb Duperree, NWOAS Area Coordinator

In 1891, Captain McFee of San Francisco set up a crab pot to collect donations in order to provide a Christmas dinner to the Poor. Instead of a bell, The Salvation Army Captain hollered out, “Keep the pot boiling!” People were drawn to the pot and thus the first Salvation Army collection “pot” was established.
