Today, Ojai, CA-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Sam Blasucci shares his fourth record and first double LP, Physical Dream. Alongside the double-album's release, the artist will embark on a promotional tour across the U.S. and Canada, including a hometown album release show in Los Angeles' El Cid on April 22. Today, Blasucci brings special attention to the final and titular track, "PHYSICAL DREAM" — a conclusion that blends all the record's themes together into a rich, shimmering, and warm track. The song is "the merging of life with the unseen hidden parts of the soul," he says. "It's just me praying, which I don't even really believe in anymore, but for some reason I feel compelled to ask of any god or any power in the universe to merge my physical world with my dream world." He adds, "Both the album as a whole and this title track represent that part of me. It's actually a melody and chord progression that I've had in progress for almost 10 years now, since I was just starting to write music of my own. It just stuck around haunting me for so long and then finally emerged as a concrete piece of music. Very much a dream turned physical after many years."

PHYSICAL DREAM is packed with romance, mysticism and political resistance, coming together through an unconventional orchestra of field recordings, jazz percussion, baroque flutes, acoustic guitars, and classical piano. Years in the making, Blasucci is proud to share a body of work that is a culmination of experiences, feelings and influences. It's a love letter to the communities who raised him, to the scenic landscapes of the American Southwest, to the solidarity among its people, to the inexplicable connection between souls and minds. "It’s heavily revelatory of the shadow and more ‘below the horizon’ sides of myself," he says, offering his most sprawling collection of music yet.

ABOUT SAM BLASUCCI

Sam was born in Los Angeles in November 1994 and currently lives in Ojai, CA. Having had residence in Los Angeles, CA / Coahuila, MX / Orem, UT & New Orleans, LA - it’s safe to assume Sam will be on the move again soon. Determined to live by creation, Sam is the type of artist that is always creating something, maintaining a sort of inexhaustible hunger to make music. Expressing himself through sound has now gone beyond joy and into being second nature and Sam’s real first language. This year marks his fourth full length release along with plans for the release of more finished recordings later in the year.
