My sister-in-law is a nurse on a Covid floor in Knoxville, Tennessee. As you might imagine, the past few weeks have been a terrible rush of patients with sickness and dying. In fact, she posted on Facebook, "Get your affairs in order if you go to the hospital with Covid."
This dire warning just made me tired. It made me weary.
And yet, she is still doing her work. She's still doing her best to provide her patients with the best care she can.
We're all beyond weary at this point. I wanted to look up the verse to give to all of you that says "Do not grow weary in doing good," and I found it, but you know what?
This was such an important thing for Paul to say in his letters that he said it four or five times!
Do not grow weary in doing what is good, because God is with you, and you're still doing the Lord's work.
This was Paul's message to all of his congregations multiple times, and I needed the reminder. Maybe you do too.
Peace and blessings,
Pastor Beth
