The Sweet Baby Sweater by Caroline Wiens is one of those patterns where the yarn does all the work for you!

Made with a self patterning yarn until the sleeve divide, then finished with a solid, this is a super simple top down sweater. Great for beginners!

This pattern is made with fingering/sock weight yarn, but this method would work for any of your favorite top down sweater patterns!

And because I had so much fun making the last one, I decided to use my left over Bebe Merino to make a second!

This time I decided to see how the fair isle yarn would look in a crochet pattern. I used the Plain Jayne Baby Sweater by Sierra Tosner, and changed color close to the sleeve divide.

This is also a beginner friendly pattern!

I used Vintage Sock for the solid color in this version.
