A Message for the _______ Community

We have been working on a plan to help all of our members stay as healthy as possible during this challenging time. According to the CDC, folks who are 65+ and/or have chronic medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or any sort of lung/respiratory disease are at higher risk when it comes to contracting this virus. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html

If, in light of this information, you decide that it would be better for you to avoid going out and would like some help with shopping or other errands, including drugstore runs, sign up here and indicate what sort of goods you need:

If you can shop for a family or an individual once a week, sign up here:

If you would like someone to call you to check in and see how you are doing, sign up directly below. Social distance can lead to isolation, and we all need to stay connected to people who care:

With so many unknowns about the extent of the virus and health care systems’ capacity to contain its impact, we want to try the above measures as a community. With experience, we may make some adjustments.

If (hopefully) we find we are able to meet the needs of our most vulnerable members, we may want to participate as a community in broader efforts to assist even more vulnerable communities. We will initiate that discussion on [listserv name].

With blessings for good health and hopeful spirits,
