The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) is an annual conference focused on the most recent breakthroughs and developments in breast cancer research. It's also one of the world's largest and most impactful events on breast cancer. SABCS brings together researchers, clinicians, and advocates to present and discuss innovative information on breast cancer biology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Field experts exchange their research findings, clinical trial results, and treatment plans, covering a broad spectrum of breast cancer-related topics, including prevention and survivorship. Each year thesecondopinion plans a benefit with the goal of raising $120,000, which represents a quarter of our annual budget. With the funds we raise, we support cancer patients and their families by increasing their understanding of complex medical diagnosis and alleviate uncertainty.

Thesecondopinion has been serving the California cancer community for over 50 years! The organization is committed to providing free, independent and comprehensive second opinions to adults diagnosed with cancer. We believe that all cancer patients should have the same access to medical resources as those who usually have broader access to medical care, in their language and at their level of understanding.
