The FAA  is making $4.9 million available for rebates of general aviation aircraft Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) Out installations.

Aircraft using transponders will be required to have rule-compliant ADS-B Out technology. The deadline to have these transponders is January 1, 2020.

To meet the mandate and receive the $500 rebate, you must purchase the equipment and obtain a Rebate Reservation Code . After installing the equipment, owners will be required to conduct the required equipment performance validation flight and receive an Incentive Code, which allows them to claim their $500 rebate.

Offer ends October 11, 2019, and does not apply to
ADS-B software updates. To find out if you are eligible and for more details, please visit
