SDFA Grad. Josh Arvidson in Action for Elmhurst

Gnass and Arvidson Lead Bluejay Men Past Anderson

September 3rd, 2016
ANDERSON, Ind. -
SDFA graduate Josh Arvidson and Alec Gnass scored for Elmhurst men's soccer team as the Bluejays ended a two-game road trip with a 2-0 shutout win at Anderson University.

Arvidson and Gnass scored just 92 seconds apart in the game's first 10 minutes to provide the contest's entire offense. Arvidson struck first, flicking the ball over Anderson keeper Brandon Weer's head and into the back of the net. Derek Dedman assisted on Arvidson's goal just 8:28 into the contest.

Gnass padded Elmhurst's lead to two goals just 92 seconds letter. Nick Fecci worked his way to free space and sent a cross to Gnass for the Bluejays' second goal of the contest.

Elmhurst's defense did the rest, outshooting Anderson 13-5 in the game and not allowing the Ravens a shot in the entire second half.
Donnie Kevin recorded his second.

Are you interested in obtaining a referee license and earning some extra money for team fees, or for extra spending money?  Consider enrolling in Anyone Can Ref (ACR).

A group of SDFA players has formed an organization called ACR that will provide SDFA players with guidance, mentoring, and potentially financial assistance in the process to become a referee.  - Your birth year has to be 2003 or earlier

Here is what ACR will provide:

 - Guidance on registering for a license through Cal South
 - Additional field training focusing on specific situations with he goal of developing confidence in making calls and dealing with parent and coaches
 - Potential financial assistance for the registration fees, uniform, and equipment for those who qualify
 - Mentoring during the season
