As summer begins to wind down, the real estate market is heating up! August is the perfect month for a move. Mortgage interest rates just had a significant drop to 6.4% for a 30 year fixed and 5.89% for a 15 year fixed which is great news for buyers. Sellers will of course benefit from the lower interest rates as well since buyers have more purchasing power. The seller’s market continues as inventory is historically low and remodeled homes in the coastal communities are selling quickly making it an opportune time to list a property.
