We’ve been building tech communities for quite a few years now and four years ago, Cox Business stepped up and asked how they could help. At first, like you, I wondered how a cable company could help.

And then I dove into the company and realized that for 122 years, Cox has been most interested in investing in its communities, from its first newspaper to help connect a city like Dayton, Ohio, to its Techstars and other community sponsorships

But I wanted to take it one step further and so we brought its investment and technology leads to SoCal to meet our companies and see where else a big enterprise company could utilize its assets to enable tech companies to scale at the speeds they need to.

This is where Cox Edge came from. In the summer of 2019, Ron Lev visited SoCal for the first time and asked the question to local CTOs, “What could you do with our existing infrastructure?” and boom — “regional cloud computing” became a sandbox environment and today is a full-blown product suite! Love seeing excess infrastructure put to good use, especially for AI and other tech that relies on low latency.

Since we helped shape this, we’ve got a startup package that your company can access at a super discount, so check out Cox Edge and then reply to this email to get a partner code from us.

See you all at the upcoming TopTechAwards on Sept 16, Womens Venture Summit Sept 17-18, Green Summit Sept 23-24, our own Cloud
Night on October 4, as well a Startup Month Oct 1-29 - use code Bloom50 for a discount! See all the Events below
