Celebrate National Night Out in San Gabriel's Mission District

San Gabriel, CA  The City of San Gabriel and the San Gabriel Police Department will be celebrating the 28th annual National Night Out community event on Tuesday, August 2nd from 5pm to 9pm. The entire community is invited to gather in the historic Mission District to enjoy an evening of fun, food, live music, and games hosted by the San Gabriel Police Department. Admission is free!

Throughout the four-hour-long community event, families can learn about public safety through various educational exhibits, K9 demonstrations, and can get an up-close look at police, fire and military vehicles and equipment that will be on display. There will also be various informational booths, a live DJ, a bounce house, and games for the kids. Members of the United States Armed Forces, City leaders, local officials and community group representatives will also be present and participating in the event.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, to generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, and to strengthen neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships. As a community we want to send a message to criminals that our community is engaged, organized and ready to take back our neighborhoods.
