Club Officers Announced
At the CEC business meeting on August 1, Dee Galando was announced as the new Republican Club President, replacing outgoing President Gayle Booth. Kim Webb will serve as as Vice President, and Tammy Betancourt will serve as Club Secretary.
Outgoing President Gayle Booth was recognized for her tireless efforts and incredible level of service to the organization.

Senator Charles Scwertner Visits SJCGOP
With a packed, standing room only house, our SD5 Senator Charles Schwertner met with SJCGOP members on August 15. Schwertner, who considers himself a constitutional conservative, discussed his track record, his personal and conservative values, and shared his concerns over the border crisis, property taxes and election integrity.

Are you registered to vote in San Jacinto County?
If not, be sure to register by October 11th to participate in the upcoming November 8 General Election. Texas law requires eligible voters to be registered 30 days before Election Day, and since the 30th day before November 8, 2022 falls on the Sunday before Columbus Day, eligible Texas voters effectively have two extra days to register this year. Visit VoteTexas.gov of visit Vicki Shelly, SJC Elections Administrator, at the elections office for accurate and comprehensive information on voting in Texas.

Mission Red, White, and Blue! Special Joint Meeting Featuring Candidate for TX08 Morgan Luttrell
Save the date of Monday, September 12, for a special joint meeting of the San Jacinto County and Polk County Republican Clubs. The event will be held at 5:30 PM, at VFW, Post 8568, 4951 Hwy 190 W in Livingston. Hot dogs, apple pie, and ice cream will be provided and the event will feature congressional candidate for TX-08 Morgan Luttrell. More details here.
