We are pleased to announce the expansion of our Pre-Academy Development Program to include the U12 age groups. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be looking to expand our U12 (98-99) program through a series of tryouts. We will also be looking to add some 96/97's to our existing U14 Pre-Academy pool.

The San Jose Earthquakes u12/14 Pre-Academy Tryouts: March 16th, 23rd & 30th (5:30pm - 7:30pm) at Lincoln High School, San Jose, CA
*ONLY RECOMMENDED PLAYERS THAT REGISTER AND ARE INVITED WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. NO WALK UPS WILL BE ALLOWED. TRYOUT CONFIRMATIONS WILL GO OUT TUESDAY MORNING.
STRUCTUREPlayers will be rostered in our training pools through US Club Soccer as Academy players, so that they do not have to leave their current clubs. U12 Pre Academy Players will train in a pool of 20-30 players on a twice a month basis. A player can expect to participate in approximately 1 Pre-Academy game per month. 18 players from the pool will dress for each game. The season will work around tournament and state cup / regional commitments of club teams on which the players participate.
PHILOSOPHYThe underlying principle of the Northern California U-12/14 Pre-Academy team is player development. Coaches and teams will focus on providing a competitive environment that creates a multitude of soccer situations for players. The game is the best teacher and it is a focus that all games and trainings provide a structure that encourages player learning and development with regard to the four pillars of soccer.
