Tucson firehouse overdue for replacement, may be toxic, officials say
Tucson's oldest firehouse has become an example of how long-delayed capital projects can cost more than a spreadsheet can list. And in this case, officials say, it might be an actual pound of flesh. Fire Station No. 3 dates to the 1950s and has been retrofitted repeatedly in an attempt to extend its useful life. However, city officials say any more changes would be a waste of taxpayer dollars.   Tucson.com

VIDEO of the MONTH

San Jose Fire Fighters work closely with SJPD, CHP & County Ambulance in responding to vehicle accidents throughout San Jose.

One of the overlooked but critical components of keeping the roadways safe an open are the private tow companies. Here you can see the teamwork, speed and skill with which Campbell Towing uprights and removes this vehicle from Hwy 880 after a rollover accident. Quickly getting the road clear, gets traffic moving again, avoiding further delays and potential accidents for motorists stuck behind this back up.

All the participants in this car walked away with minor injuries.
