Client Merge Requests

While the Clarity search feature helps to eliminate duplicate profiles, sometimes not having all of the client information at one time can lead to multiple records. If you learn of a duplicate record, reach out to the HMIS Support Team to merge the profiles. Review this Knowledge Base Article for how to fix a duplicate record!

Successful LSA Submission to HUD

The HMIS Team has successfully submitted the Longitudinal Systems Analysis report to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) following support from Service Providers and HMIS Support staff to correct validation errors. We appreciate the time everyone took to work together for a successful submission! Complying with Data Quality practices throughout the year, such as timely training and attending HMIS Office Hours, is the best way to help prepare for reporting.

Supporting Veterans and their Families in San Luis Obispo County

The VA Greater LA Healthcare System facilitates SLO County's Veteran ByName List (BNL) through the Coordinated Entry System in Clarity HMIS. By embedding referrals and matching into HMIS, our community expands access to housing opportunities and services for veterans and their families.

Updates from the VA Team:

Since the VA has begun working in HMIS, we have seen an increase in the amount of Veterans landing on our by name list. This means that we are capturing more Veterans in SLO that are homeless or housing insecure and are able to connect them quickly with services they are eligible to receive through the VA and/or VA partners.

The VA has been undergoing a National ByNameList upload of all homeless Veterans in the Country and it has been so helpful to have SLO data not only available, but complete and precise, to share. This helps us continue the pursuit to end Veteran homelessness in SLO County.

We cannot make progress on this goal without all the hard work that is occurring in the field and in the programs and we are very appreciative of the partnerships!
