San Vicente President's Day Results

This was our Chapter's first foray to San Vicente to hold an event. With so many courses raising their rates and issues with availability due to the popularity of post-COVID golf, we've had to expand our venues! There was much positive feedback regarding the course, and the staff was super friendly. The course was in good condition. Although, it appears that whoever placed those pin locations on our day of play wanted to impress us with the difficulty of the greens. Diabolical... truly... just evil.

Many of our 36 President's Day celebrants came decked out in red, white, and blue to honor the holiday. Very festive indeed!!!

The Game of the Day was a foursome team game. Each set of three holes had different balls that would count:

Holes 1-3 were George Washington - 2 Best Net, 1 Best Gross

Holes 4-6 were Abraham Lincoln - 3 Best Net

Holes 7-9 were Thomas Jefferson - 3 Best Net, 1 Best Gross

Holes 10-12 were Andrew Jackson - 2 Best Net

Holes 13-15 were John Quincy Adams - 3 Best Net, 1 Best Gross

Holes 16-18 were Franklin D Roosevelt - 2 Best Net

And the winners are....!

Each 1st place winner received a $20 Golf Mart gift card. The 2nd place winners received a $10 Golf Mart gift card, and CTTP winners received $10 Golf Mart gift cards.

2025 San Diego Players Cup Sponsored by Golf Mart

Our 2nd eligible Players Cup event for the 2025 season was here at San Vicente.

Gross Division:

LeeAnn Taylor had a superb day and takes the 50 points for 1st place. Cindy Mason, the winner at the Twin Oaks Superbowl event, takes 2nd place by shooting a stellar 80 and maintains her hold on 1st place in the gross standings. Jax Jacquez shot a low 81 shooting her up from 10th place last week to tied for 6th with Kim Greco.

Net Division:

Jax Jacquez soars up the Net Leaderboard from tied at 13 into 3rd place with her low gross 81, giving her a net of 71 to take 1st place in the event. Pat Haberman takes 2nd place with a net 73 and moves up from tied at 13th to now tied for 4th place. Dina Mauger's net 74 earns her 3rd place points for the event and moves her up in the standings from tied for 10th to 6th place.

The next event eligible for the Players Cup is Links at the Lakehouse on Monday, March 17.
