There will be a presentation immediately at the end of the 10:30AM service to show the plans for the sanctuary renewal! This will also be livestreamed HERE.

After the presentation, join us on the front lawn for fellowship, Ream's hot dogs, baseball, planting flowers in the children's garden, and a bounce house to celebrate the end of the program year!

Pastor Trudy's Message

The disciples were gathered in one place. They were waiting for what Jesus had told them would come, the Holy Spirit! And when it came, they didn’t stay in the same place. They moved out into the city, speaking the word in many languages. This is a pattern we follow every week, as we gather together, receive God’s word, and then head out into the world speaking a new language.

God of Tempest, God of Whirlwind, You meet us in one place but don’t let us stay there. Empower us to live Spirit filled lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What is the origin of Pentecost?

🔥 Wear 'fire' colors this weekend for Pentecost! 🔥

• Holy Spirit, you fill us with life and breath and richly gift us with skills and abilities to be used for the common good. Open our eyes to all that we have to offer and fill us with joy in the giving of ourselves for the sake of others.
• You have gifted some of us with a passion of the natural world, and others with the scientific curiosity and knowledge needed for its long-term viability. May we follow those so gifted and lend our hearts, hands, and voices to their vital work.
• You have gifted some of us with the ability to lead, and others of us with the gift of the facilitation of collaboration. May we follow those so gifted and support their efforts to bring peace and justice to the world.
• You have gifted some of us with skills in the medical field, and others of us with hearts for healing. May we support those so gifted that they might bring healing and wholeness to all who suffer.
• May we listen to the words or your prophets and heed their call to action on behalf of the marginalized.

We surround with our prayers the family of John I. Anderson who died on May 14. A celebration of his life will be held later this summer.
