Your semi-monthly Recreation activities information.

We hope that you and your families are in good health and enjoying the summer. In Parks and Recreation, we have learned a new way to operate our programs and facilities as a result of COVID-19 and have made progress in reopening. In most cases, participation numbers are limited and additional safety precautions, such as wearing masks and social distancing, are being followed.

Day camps, summer baseball, swim lessons, skateboard clinics, tennis clinics, and pickleball are all in full swing. There are still openings in group and private swim lessons at the Town Pool. We have new information on a youth soccer program in August. This year's summer concert series is drive-in. Also, our Sandblast Festival will be a season long contest. Updates on playgrounds, athletic fields, ferry service to the islands, the Town pool, and other operations of the Department of Parks and Recreation are found below.

The Parks and Recreation Office at Town Hall is only open by appointment. Most business can be done online. Office staff are available by email. Feel free to contact us. Both the Eastern and Western Civic Centers, the Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink, and both the Cos Cob and William Yantorno Community Centers are still closed.

Best Regards,
Sue Snyder, Recreation Superintendent
