Digital Health Sandbox Program Adds MGH Lab, Awards Grants to Mass. Startups
In December 2020, MeHI welcomed the Medical Device Plug-and-Play Interoperability & Cybersecurity Program (MD PnP) at Massachusetts General Hospital as the ninth member of our expanding Sandbox Network. The MD PnP Lab brings nearly two decades of experience helping support innovation, prototyping, piloting, certification, and security assurance for digital health technologies and products.

Last week, MeHI announced $105,500 in new Sandbox Program grants to help Lexington-based Keva Health, Cambridge’s Dynocardia, and Boston’s caresyntax access the cutting-edge tools and staff at three innovative Sandbox R&D centers located in Massachusetts.

Mass Digital Health Welcomes the New Year with Hiring Rebound
Over the course of 2020, the digital health sector, like many sectors across the Commonwealth, experienced a drastic decline in job listings according to the Massachusetts Digital Health Jobs Board – a free resource which automatically aggregates and posts open Massachusetts Digital Health jobs. Our board opened 2020 with nearly 2,000 open roles but declined to just 900 in June. Since that time, we have seen a steady rebound in job openings in the sector and the Board featured over 1,500 jobs at the beginning of the year, a sign of a positive trend.
