Venue Spotlight:
Hiller Aviation Museum
August 14 through 20 is National Aviation Week. This day is marked in honor of Orville Wright’s birthday which is August 19th. In recognition of National Aviation Week, we would like to spotlight one of our close venue partners, the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, CA.
The Hiller Aviation Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate museum, was opened to the public in 1998 by helicopter designer and inventor Stanley Hiller Jr. and features over 50 aircraft from more than a century of aviation history. A unique cultural asset and lifelong learning resource for diverse communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Museum celebrates the spirit of discovery and innovation of aviation pioneers whose creativity made the dream of flight a reality.
The museum offers its Atrium with a seating capacity of up to 500 people. It can handle a stage, dance floor and any lighting needs your event may require (depending upon museum approval). Hiller also offers its Museum Gallery, which houses the majority of their exhibits. The Gallery can host up to 800 guests and both areas of the museum are perfect for dinners, receptions, fundraisers, corporate meetings, memorials, casino parties, cocktail receptions, silent auction fundraisers, or whatever your event may be. Hiller Aviation Museum also offers additional spaces for events including conference rooms and even an airplane cockpit! Cheat A Little Catering has held a long-time relationship with this unique museum and continues to be one of the venue’s preferred catering companies.
