Don’t want to think about the holidays right now, then celebrate National Sandwich and National Panini month. August is all about the delicious sandwiches (by the way, the first Saturday in August is National Mustard Day – see a trend?). And rightfully so, as students gear up to return to school, we encourage brown bagging delicious sandwiches for your children. Need sandwiches for your corporate meetings? We can deliver gourmet boxed meals right to your office.

We hope you enjoy the remaining days of your summer and look forward to planning your next event!

Venue Spotlight: Hiller Aviation Museum

August 14 through 20 is National Aviation Week. This day is marked in honor of Orville Wright’s birthday which is August 19th. In recognition of National Aviation Week, we would like to spotlight one of our close venue partners, the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, CA.

The Hiller Aviation Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate museum, was opened to the public in 1998 by helicopter designer and inventor Stanley Hiller Jr. and features over 50 aircraft from more than a century of aviation history.  A unique cultural asset and lifelong learning resource for diverse communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Museum celebrates the spirit of discovery and innovation of aviation pioneers whose creativity made the dream of flight a reality.

The museum offers its Atrium with a seating capacity of up to 500 people. It can handle a stage, dance floor and any lighting needs your event may require (depending upon museum approval). Hiller also offers its Museum Gallery, which houses the majority of their exhibits. The Gallery can host up to 800 guests and both areas of the museum are perfect for dinners, receptions, fundraisers, corporate meetings, memorials, casino parties, cocktail receptions, silent auction fundraisers, or whatever your event may be. Hiller Aviation Museum also offers additional spaces for events including conference rooms and even an airplane cockpit! For a full list of Hiller Aviation Museum’s services and prices, please visit Cheat A Little Catering has held a long-time relationship with this unique museum and continues to be one of the venue’s preferred catering companies.

The Days of Wine and Ros é s…

Our friends at BizBash feature a summer staple, Rosé in a recent blog post. "Rosé has been picking up steam in recent years as more and more brands, venues, and planners are using the pink wine to inspire event decor, catering ideas, and more. From a pretty-in-pink office party to boozy popsicles to an entire rosé-inspired festival in Malibu, here's a look at creative—and gorgeous—ways the wine has popped up at events and venues."

Want to include these elements into your summer party, let us know how we can help make your day, a rosé day. Need help planning an event, no problem.  Click here and one of our event planners will get in touch right away.
